La
cognizione del calore. Un giorno d'estate in un parco di città. una
torrida giornata. Chi non può fuggire cerca surrogati alla propria
voglia di vacanza. Le spiagge si tingono di verde e il fuori scena
nutre la vista. Complotti infantili e vedute bruciate. Inseguimenti a
perdita di vista. Echi del passato, quello di un luogo carico di
fantasmi. Di presenze. Quello che ora è un parco pubblico era una
volta un grande ospedale psichiatrico, a Collegno, vicino Torino.
Forse di fantasmi ne sono rimasti tra quei giardini. Un surplus
mistico è evidente. E la cognizione del calore estremo è quella che
porta ad una dimensione di alterità, di vita bruciata dalla vita
stessa.
The
heat cognition. a summer day in a city park. a roasting day. Those who
can not escape looking surrogates to their holiday mood. The beaches
are colored in green and off-stage feeds the view. childish plots and
burned views. Pursuits to loss of sight. That place is loaded
with ghosts. Of presence. What is now a public park was once a great
psychiatric hospital in Collegno, near Turin. Perhaps ghosts have
remained among those gardens. A mystical surplus is evident. And the
cognition of extreme heat is the one that leads to a dimension of
alterity, life burned by life itself.
La
cognizione del calore evoca diversi sentimenti al contempo, e
probabilmente è la memoria il meccanismo di funzionamento più forte
lungo tutto il film. O non è così? Insana usa il suono in maniera
peculiare, assegnandogli una presenza quasi iperrealista, rendendo le
immagini spettrali, voyeuristiche, ma anche intriganti e travolgenti.
Attraverso questa estetica insieme iperrealista e nebulosa,
indistinta, Insana ha creato un impressionante film sperimentale,
“esperenziale”, che catturerà i vostri sensi.

This
film is shown for the very first time in the world and I’m proud
that tao films could be the platform for the world premiere of
Salvatore Insana’s new experimental short film. La Cognizione
evokes several feelings at once, and perhaps the idea of memory is
strongest throughout the film. Or is it? Insana uses sound in a
peculiar way, allowing it an almost hyperreal presence, rendering the
images spooky, voyeuristic, but also intriguing and captivating.
Through its hyperreal and yet vague aesthetics, Insana has created an
impressive experimental, say experiential, film that will captivate
your senses.
